Digital Goods Policy
What a $1 digital birthday card includes, how WebP delivery works, and the personal-use license on birthdaywishforfriend.com.
Every paid card on birthdaywishforfriend.com is a digital good: a WebP image file sold for personal birthday gifting, usually at $1.00 USD, with instant download after payment. No physical card is shipped.
1. What you buy
A digital birthday card purchase includes:
- one WebP image file for the design shown on the card page;
- a personal license to use that file for personal gifting and personal printing;
- order confirmation and download access tied to your checkout email / account.
A purchase does not include postal shipping, envelopes, handwriting services, or custom redesign of the artwork unless a page expressly offers a custom service.
2. How delivery works
After successful payment, the card is delivered digitally. Depending on checkout setup, you may receive:
- a download link in the order confirmation email;
- download buttons on the order-received page;
- download access in your customer account order history.
Delivery begins when the paid file becomes available to you. That is the point digital performance starts for refund purposes. See the Refund Policy for failed-delivery cases.
3. File format and recommended use
Cards are delivered as WebP image files. WebP keeps high visual quality at a small size, which helps with WhatsApp, email, and quick printing.
You may:
- open the file on a phone or computer;
- print at home or at a local print shop for personal use;
- attach or share the image in a birthday message to your friend.
If your device needs another format, convert the WebP with a trusted image tool after download. Conversion quality depends on your software, not on a second file type from our store unless we add one later.
4. License and limits
Your license is for personal, non-commercial birthday gifting connected to the friendship context of the Site. You may not resell the file, include it in a paid template pack, or treat the artwork as exclusive brand identity for a business.
Do not remove copyright notices if any are embedded in extended packages we may add later. Current standard delivery is the card image itself.
5. Compatibility notes
Most modern browsers and phones open WebP. Older software may need a converter. Messaging apps may compress images; that compression is outside our control.
Print results vary by paper, ink, and printer color profiles. The preview on the card page is the reference design.
6. Re-download access
We aim to keep order downloads available for a reasonable period so you can save a backup. Store the file after purchase. If access expires or a link breaks, email respond@birthdaywishforfriend.com with your order number and we will help restore access when the order is valid.
7. Free wishes vs paid cards
Blog wish guides are free to read and copy for personal messages. Paid digital cards are separate commercial products. Buying a card does not sell you copyright to blog text, and copying a wish does not grant a card download.
The intended experience is to pair a free wish with a paid card from the matching friendship collection.
8. Support for digital goods
Before buying, browse the card preview and collection description. After buying, if the download fails, use respond@birthdaywishforfriend.com. For partnership or bulk licensing questions beyond personal use, contact info@birthdaywishforfriend.com.
9. Policy updates
We may update this Digital Goods Policy when formats, delivery tools, or license terms change. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision.
